What is Matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder that has been treasured for centuries in traditional Japanese culture.

Unlike typical Japanese green tea, where the leaves are rolled and dried before brewing, matcha is made from tencha—tea leaves that are carefully dried without rolling and then stone-ground into a fine powder.

Because you consume the whole leaf, matcha provides a concentrated source of nutrients, including catechins, vitamins, and dietary fiber.
